The Freedom Foundation International was born in 1979, the brainchild of co-founder Dennis Jones at San Quentin State Prison. Its mission is to investigate and litigate claims of innocence by long term California Prisoners'.
The organization was suspended in 1996 and we are re-booting our cause in 2020 due to the huge demand for assistance. Since 1989 there has been over 2,095 innocent prisoners adjudicated and released from prison.
There will probably never be enough organizations in this country to meet the requests for help. Because experts estimate between 1 and 5 percent of the prison population are actually innocent, there are thousands of unjustly incarcerated prisoners in this country at any given time.
Remember for every unjustly imprisoned individual rotting away in custody, the real perpetrator is out in the free world probably committing more crimes.
We need volunteers to help in all areas. Contact us through our website if you would like to offer assistance or donate to this worthwhile cause.
In his new book, When the Truth is All You Have: A Memoir of Faith, Justice and Freedom for the Wrongly Convicted. is a memoir of his odyssey that led him to advocate for innocent convicts. We talk abourt his first case, which was a crash course in overturing the conviction of New Jersey inmate Jorge de los Santos.
In our latest Freedom Foundation podcast, we talk with Jim McCloskey, who has led the exoneration movement in America since the early 1980's. He's the founder of Centurion Ministries, a New Jersey-based organizaiton that has freed over 60 wrongfully convicted prisoners.

The Freedom Foundation International was one of the original Non-profit 501-C-3's created in 1979 to investigate and help get the release of the wrongfully convicted. This is ONLY done with YOUR donations, and income from our various fund raisers.
The Freedom Foundation was established for the single purpose of providing resources for innocent prisoners who are incarcerated. The mission of the Freedom Foundation is to locate those prisoners with credible claims of innocence and to provide funding for legal expenses to exonerate them.
